American Society for Nutrition Annual Meeting Update
Experimental Biology 2014 (EB2014) starts today in San Diego, CA with pre-meeting workshops. Six professional societies: anatomy, physiology, biochemistry & molecular biology, pathology, pharmacology & experimental therapeutics and of course, nutrition. The meeting will host nearly 14,000 scientists and exhibitors. The American Society for Nutrition (ASN) will hold its annual meeting bringing together many of its ~4,000 members from around the globe.
DSM Nutritional Products is proud to continue its support of the ASN Minority Affairs Committee. The committee enhances the participation of scientists from minority groups. This year, 15 young scholars were selected for ASN MARC Travel Awards. After a review by a scientific jury, 5 finalists were chosen to give oral presentations at the ASN Young Minority Investigator Oral Competition, 12:30-2:00pm PST, Saturday, April 26 in room 29AB of the San Diego Convention Center. On Sunday night, at the ASN Awards Ceremony, President Dr Gordon L Jensen, Pennsylvania State University, will award the 2014 Grand Prize for Minority Investigators, supported by DSM Nutritional Products LLC, to one of these 5 individuals. Watch for updates on Monday, April 28!
