It’s why engineering plastics like our Akulon® polyamide 6 are being used in applications ranging from gear housings to air vanes and pedals. Akulon is light, with excellent flow (also in highly reinforced grades like Akulon Ultraflow) – which makes it easy to mold. This in turn enables designers to re-engineer components with thinner walls and less individual parts; the material even has good coloring and surface quality.
