PlugBug®
This is our game-changing protein platform that enables fast identification of the best strains, scalable to production levels. PlugBug® simply and quickly “plugs” the recombinant DNA encoding for your protein into our “bugs”. The result is an elite family of fungi and bacteria known as our PlugBugs® - all based on standardized, high cell-density fermentation protocols, with proven performance at production scale – with no intermediate step required, saving you time and money.
HTS
This is another key technology that helps us achieve predictable upscaling, with high expression levels and no impurities. HTS has revolutionized microbial science (for proof look no further than the drug Penicillium chrysogenum, where productivity has improved 100-fold).
Our HTS solution is integrated with the latest robotics technologies and intelligent analytics to help you quickly assess the vast numbers of microbial strains produced by random mutagenesis – and then select those strains with the very best production levels ands purity profiles.
