Licensing – getting the most out of our innovative ideas
At DSM we license out our intellectual property to others to help develop practical applications of DSM processes, technology, and know-how.
Furthermore, when we see exciting opportunities for innovations, we license-in technology and innovations from outside DSM. In this way, we combine our own expertise and know-how with bright ideas conceived outside our gates.
Take, for instance, our worldwide licensing agreement with MediVas for a drug delivery system. MediVas’ technology is based on a next generation set of polymers which allow greater control over the rate and duration of drug release, improving effectiveness and providing pain relief. This agreement allows DSM to accelerate the commercialization of our drug delivery technologies tailored to the needs of the health industry.
