DSM is a member of the Association of Dutch Enterprises with Art Collections (
VBCN). In the Netherlands there are many businesses, organizations and
institutions that collect art. For the most part these collections are not
available to the public and are developed and maintained by specialized
employees. The collections have grown to become of some importance in the art
world. Therefore a large number of the companies with art collections have
decided to form the VBCN. The VBCN will be a platform for co-operation between
its members and will also facilitate dialogue with other representatives from
the cultural arena such as museums, commercial and alternative art
initiatives. In the future the VBCN will be a dynamic association that is
independent, stimulating and which pushes the boundaries.
