Ammonium sulphate crystalline 21 N + 24 S

AS-Crystalline is our crystalline ammonium sulphate. This product contains 21% N and 24% S and can be used as fertilizer for arable and grassland fertilization.

Ammonium sulphate is also available in two other grades, 2 and 3 mm.
In markets in South Europe and outside Europe ammonium sulphate is often used on citrus, coffee, rice, tea, coconut, bananas, pineapples, sugarcane and soybeans.
The product can be used as a component in blends or as a straight fertilizer.

Product data
Application

Rapeseed
Rapeseed belongs to the Crucifer family, the members of which are known to have particularly high sulphur requirements. With AS-crystalline N and S are applied with one fertilizer.

Potatoes
Potatoes have a preference for ammonium nitrogen. The use of AS-crystalline has several quality and yield advantages.

Spreading properties
AS-crystalline is unique in the market because of its coarse granulation and even particle size distribution with a mean particle size of 1,1 mm.

That's why AS-crystalline has excellent spreading characteristics, provided that the right spreader settings will be used.

Conversion table application amounts
The table shows the necessary amounts of AS-crystalline for certain amounts of N.

N-efficiency of AS-crystalline

The effect of AS-crystalline is to characterize as moderately fast because of its  ammonium sulphate.

Plants can up take nitrate directly while ammonium partially has to be transformed into nitrate via reactions in the soil. The rate of this process depends on soil moisture and soil temperature (see table). Ammonium nitrogen forms a compound with soil particles (clay minerals, organic matter). Therefore it is less prone to leaching and shifting during alteration.
