Aqueous Ammonia
Aqueous Ammonia is a colorless liquid
with a pungent odor.
Ammonia is produced by direct
combination of hydrogen and nitrogen under high pressure and in the presence
of a catalyst. The main raw materials in the ammonia production are natural
gas and air.
Aqueous Ammonia is produced by dissolving pure
ammonia in demineralized water.
DSM Agro produces aqueous
ammonia in Geleen (NL) in a separate production unit. The aqueous ammonia is
produced on–purpose and therefore of a very high purity, suitable for all
applications of the product. Aqueous ammonia is used as nitrogen source in
fermentation (amino acids, yeast and single cell proteins) for food - and
pharmaceutical products.
The DSM Aqueous Ammonia is of
excellent quality for the trouble free denitrification of waste gases.
