ALLINCO® linear chain extender for polyesters and nylons

DSM's linear chain extender system ALLINCO® is based on one chain extender (CBC) or on two independent chain extenders (ALLINCO CBC and ALLINCO PBO). It leads to a cheaper, faster and more flexible production process for high molecular weight (MW) polyesters (PET, PBT) and polyamides (PA6, 6.6 and 4.6) than the present batch solid state post-condensation technologies, without investment or capital costs. No branching or gels are produced.

ALLINCO® enables the production of the whole range of viscosities, starting with only one single base resin. Overall, this new system is very versatile and the most effective linear chain extender tested so far.

ALLINCO®  CBC is also a very effective linking agent of additives or functional groups to polyesters or polyamides. This is due to CBC' s very high selectivity under certain reaction conditions. This coupling prevents migration and blooming of these functional groups or additives.

Alternatively, ALLINCO® CBC can be used as compatibilizer of blends of polyester and polyamide.
