What is it?

Automated call-offs and eLogistics
With eLogistics, a call-off is automatically sent to a transport provider. The call-off is sent directly from the supplier's ERP system to the carrier, including all automatically generated transport documents (CMR). This makes the transport procedure more efficient, transparent and customer-friendly, and keeps the customer permanently informed of the expected time of arrival and CMR details.

Functionalities of the European connectivity hub Transwide
DSM has selected Transwide as its European connectivity hub for transport execution. Functionalities include:

  • Automated call-off: a communication tool to send, receive and confirm electronic transport orders between carriers and shippers
  • Electronic time slot loading: a collaborative time-slot planning tool which enables shippers to organise their pick-up planning and carrier to electronically select the available time-slot
  • Electonic transport documents: this tool issues and holds transport documents (such as the CMR) electronically at one point, giving all parties the opportunity to update and view the document during transit
  • Pro-active warnings: this exception management tool has an alert system. In case certain business events occur, key personnel in the process are warned via email or fax
  • Automated performance monitoring: this tool captures data on all of the events which have taken place on the platform, giving shippers and carriers the opportunity to fully analyse the causes for delays
