China Talent Match

DSM has gained a leading position in the past 100 years by always looking into the future. With a strong vision about sustainability and how we want to develop we adapt to a changing world. One of the main goals is to enlarge our presence on the Asian continent. Our vision can only become true if we continue to come up with innovative products, if we use the most advanced chemical and biotechnological methods and if we are smart in demand chain management and factory utilization. For this, we need the right people!

In December 2006, about 30 Chinese students in chemistry, (bio) engineering, food sciences, business management or related master studies had the opportunity to experience the work and life in our multinational company. We challenged them with real business problems and cases of our engineers and business managers. They had the chance to talk with people of our managing board, senior management, and young employees, working all over the world.

About 10 Chinese top-talents will start their careers in one of the DSM operations in China, supporting our ambitious growth strategy in China. After a period of approximately 1 year, they will work for 6 months in a DSM business group in Europe. During that period, they will be in contact with the latest technology used by DSM in areas like process engineering or material science, or will be part of the Marketing and Sales organization, learning about our business models and customers.
