An international pre-selection committee will review the nominations and
submit a shortlist of the best candidates to an international judging
committee, which will select the winner.

In the final judging the following criteria will be taken into account:
• Reputation among peers / publication in peer-reviewed journals

Contribution to Human Nutrition & Health / Consistency of research activities

Innovativeness of scientific contribution
• Research related to DSM
scientific interest
• Influence on policy & programs related to Human
Nutrition
• Future potential to contribute to science

Communication & interpersonal skills
Award presentation
The award will be presented at the 19th
International Congress of Nutrition in Bangkok, Thailand, October 4-9, 2009.
The award recipient must be present to accept the award and present a paper on
his/her research achievements.
