DSM Deretil is a business unit of DSM Anti-Infectives. Financial details will not be disclosed.

Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, today announces that DSM Anti-Infectives has decided to close its site in Strängnäs, Sweden. The site mainly produces clavulanic acid. Total cost of closure will be slightly above EUR 10 million (after tax) and will be reported as an exceptional item in Q4.

The paper is the result of a major research project initiated by DSM in which seven international research groups participated.

Purimox® (Amoxicillin Trihydrate) manufactured by DSM Anti-Infectives (DAI) at its Toansa India plant has received European Certificate of Suitability.

Global leader DSM Anti-Infectives today announced the launch of its breakthrough technology in India, in succession to its first production facility in Spain with the introduction of Purimox® an antibiotic with highest purity.

DSM will invest in the expansion of DSM Anti-Infectives’ production facilities at Toansa (India). The investment will increase production of the penicillin-related intermediate 6-APA and of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

Today, DSM Deretil, global leader in the field of development, production and sales of side chains for betalactamic antibiotics and the Chinese company Shangyu Yuntao Chemicals, announced that they have formed a Joint Venture for the production of DL Phenyl Glycine and D(-) Phenyl Glycine. DSM Deretil acquired 51% of the shares and obtained an option to acquire the remaining 49% to gain full ownership of the company within the next three years.
