DSM PTG (formerly The Polymer Technology Group/"PTG"), a preeminent
biomaterials company, announced today that the Company has recently surpassed
the 100 employee mark, necessitated by the robust demand for its proprietary
biomaterials and medical device components. The Company also announced that it
has appointed two new executives to its management team: Frederik G.
Hoogendijk is DSM PTG's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately;
and, Robert F. Evans assumes the role of Vice President of Global Sales &
Marketing, also effective immediately.
Last year the Polymer Technology Group became part of DSM Biomedical. Through
this acquisition, the combined companies have achieved a leading position in
the field of long-term implantable biomedical polymers along with a technology
platform that is applicable to numerous additional materials to address the
therapeutic needs of the medical technology industry--ranging from coatings to
biomedical materials to drug delivery platforms.

Frederik G. Hoogendijk was previously Director of Finance & Control for DSM
Fine Chemicals since 2006. He has held a variety of financial control
positions with increasing responsibility across several DSM-owned businesses
since 1996. He holds a master's degree in business economics from Erasmus
University (Rotterdam, the Netherlands).
Robert F. Evans was previously Global Sales & Marketing Manager for DSM
Dyneema since 2006. He has held a variety of marketing and sales positions
with increasing responsibility across several DSM-owned businesses since 1996.
He holds an MBA from the University of Southern Indiana (Evansville) and a
bachelor's degree in chemistry from George Mason University (Fairfax, Va.).
