DSM Biomedical today announced the appointments of Mr. Donato Di Biase as
Business Director Drug Delivery and Regenerative Medicine and Dr. Julian Adams
as Intellectual Asset Manager.
Mr. Di Biase has a background in Biology and Medicine. He held various
commercial and operation management roles in companies active in biomedical
materials and medical diagnostics. Before joining DSM, Mr. Di Biase was
Managing Director/COO at Hemoteq GmbH, a leading provider of surface
modification solutions for medical devices. At DSM Biomedical Mr Di Biase will
be responsible for DSM’s efforts to develop materials solutions for drug
delivery and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Adams previously worked for Smith & Nephew, a global medical devices
company, where he held various positions. In his last role he acted as patent
attorney for the Enabling Technologies Department and the Endoscopy business.
Dr Adams holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Biology from the
University of Cardiff and a PhD in the Cell Kinetics of Wound Healing from the
University of Manchester. At DSM Biomedical Dr. Adams will be responsible for
strategy development and its implementation in intellectual property to insure
the company captures the most value from this area.
