ComfortCoat™ Silverbased Antimicrobial coating offers a range of innovative coatings that can improve the performance of medical devices and reduce the risk of infection. One of the problems associated with the use of temporary invasive catheters is that of tissue trauma, resulting in a high risk of infection. Urological catheters are responsible for around 800.000 Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI) in the United States each year.

Our new technology, based on ComfortCoat™ coating, combines a silverbased, antimicrobial coating with a lubricious hydrophilic coating. The antimicrobial coating technology can be used on many medical devices including the inner and outer lumen of silicone based Foley catheters.
