DSM Dyneema produces Dyneema®, a lightweight, super strong high performance polyethylene fibre. Dyneema® is an important component in ropes, cables and nets in the fishing, shipping and offshore industries. Dyneema® is also used in safety gloves for the metalworking industry and in fine yarns for applications in sporting goods and the medical sector. In addition, Dyneema® is also used in bullet resistant armor and clothing for police and military personnel.

 DSM Fibre Intermediates produces caprolactam as a raw material for Nylon-6, which is used in textiles, technical fibres and carpets and acrylonitrile which is a raw material for acrylic fibres. It has one production site in China located in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. 

DSM Engineering Plastics produces high strength materials for fibres, stretch fibres and monofil and for breathable coatings for garments. DEP in Asia Pacific is headquartered in DSM China Campus located in Shanghai, China. Its production and research facilities in China includes: Compounding plant and Polymerization plant and Research and Development Service Center in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province; Automotive Development Center in Shanghai; representative offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Chongqing and Guangzhou and Regional Computer Aided Engineering Center in Taipei, Taiwan.
