include human and animal nutrition and health, personal care, pharmaceuticals,
automotive, coatings and paint, electrics and electronics, life protection and
housing.
DSM began trading with China in 1963. Today, DSM has invested in China for
over a decade. DSM is currently involved in 10 joint ventures, 13 wholly-owned
foreign enterprises, and 6 wholly owned sales offices in China that employ
nearly 4,000 people. DSM’s business is growing healthily and steadily in China
with revenue of nearly 1 billion USD in 2007. In addition, DSM will continue
its devotion to China’s sustainable development initiative.
DSM's performance in China is a fundamental pillar of DSM's global "Vision
2010 - Building on Strengths" strategy. This set of goals aims to accelerate
DSM's innovation activities and expand the company's presence in the selected
strategic emerging markets.
