To stimulate and reward good SHE performance DSM grants each year a SHE Award to the best performing site in the corporation. Out of five nominees DSM Resins Far East Ltd, Taiwan was selected as winner of the Award and DSM Desotech, Stanley facility as "Runner-up". On April 8 the Award has been unveiled by the Vice Chairman of the Managing Board, Mr Jan Zuidam at the site in Ping Tung Hsien. Part of the Award is a donation to a charity fund which this year was given to two schools, the Tung Hai Elementary School and Chia Tung Elementary School. With this money the safety facilities of the schools will be improved.
