DSM NeoResins+ has successfully developed NeoRez® R-9407, a new polyurethane
dispersion for the parquet coatings industry. NeoRez® R-9407 is a self
crosslinking water based aromatic urethane and specially developed for fast
curing 1 component wood floor finishes. This innovative resin offers excellent
performances like black heel mark and scuff resistance, high gloss and
excellent wood wetting and shows the same durability and amber look compared
to the traditional solvent borne resins.
NeoRez® R-9407 meets the growing environmental needs of the coatings market by
being VOC compliant (according to the VOC regulations in North America). These
VOC regulations put pressure on traditional solvent borne coatings. This
product supports the coatings industry in a responsible and environmentally
friendly way, while meeting the end-users expectations.
