Test methods

DSM Coating Resins has defined a set of standard test methods for the testing of their products. The set of test methods available on this page covers the standard specifications and parameters used.

Not all test methods mentioned in the product documentation are displayed here however. Other test methods mentioned are available on request. Where a test method is absent, please contact us.

Test method - description

TM-2000 - Viscosity of resins/resin solutions using the Emila  
TM-2001 - Viscosity of liquids according to the falling ball method  
TM-2013 - Viscosity of resins and resin solutions according to ISO 3219  
TM-2017 - Colour of clear resins/resin solutions acc. to ISO 4630/6271 using Lico 200  
TM-2018 - Colour of powder coating resins acc. to ISO 7724  
TM-2021 - Solids content of amino resins  
TM-2022 - Solids content of acrylic resins  
TM-2025 - Solids content of resin solutions with the foil method
TM-2026 - Solids content according to ISO 3251  
TM-2035 - White spirit number of amino resins  
TM-2036 - Solubility  
TM-2076 - Determination of glass transition temperature of solid resins  
TM-2200 - pH of liquids-electrometric  
TM-2265 - Appearance of resins/resin solutions  
TM-2400 - Acid value determination in powder coating resins  
TM-2401 - Acid value determination  
TM-2432 - Hydroxyl value determination of saturated polyesters
TM-2725 - Viscosity of PCR using the Rheometrics viscometer  
TM-3001 - Amine number determination of polyamide resins
