There are a number of methods of assembling plastics. Some of these connections are permanent to prevent disassembly while others allow frequent assembly and disassembly.
Gluing and welding are both excellent methods for permanently joining plastics with good aesthetics (with the exception of resistance welding which is reversible). Most mechanical connections allow disassembly, but for some of these methods the aesthetics can be poor.
