Design at DSM - Innovative Technology for Customer Value

DSM staffs three separate locations with engineers involved in assisting customers with design and CAE issues:

- Design & Application Develop. Centre
(Geleen, the Netherlands)

- Design/CAE Centre
(Taipei, Taiwan)

- Design/CAE Center
(Evansville, IN)

- Automotive Technical Center
(Southfield, MI)

DSM has invested in state of the art design tools and has a full staff of people on hand with experience in CAE to assist our customers as they move from the first definition of a project through production implementation.

The first step is through Computer Aided Design (CAD) where ideas and concepts are modeled into potential designs.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) may then be used to analyze the functionality of a proposed design.

Finally, Mold Flow is completed to predict manufacturability of a design concept.
