DSM can support your application from design to production allowing you to quickly reach demanding deadlines. Our design team examines trends along with the market to determine what your needs are and help develop your application.

DSM's state-of-the-art testing department performs a vast amount of testing which is subjected to yearly audits and conforms to all UL and other testing body criteria. In Jiangyin, China DSM maintains a Regional Development and Service Center (RDSC) with skilled technicians who test molded parts in an actual reflow simulator oven to see the effects of reflow soldering on the plastic insulator materials.

DSM has geared up to support the Asian electrical and electronic markets through our laboratory facilities in Jiangyin, China to offer capabilities like flammability testing, CTI testing, and pin insertion analysis on connectors, among many others.

At the Design and CAE Center in Taipei, Taiwan a team of experts offer multiple services including 3D CAE analysis, warp analysis, runner optimization, and thermal profiles. The team uses advanced Moldex3D software that has the ability to make very complex parts in three dimensions. Our people have been working in this industry for many years and know how to engineer parts.

We have developed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software for use when designing parts to simulate thermal environments. This software accurately simulates temperature profiles and actual temperatures on a PCB throughout its passage through a reflow oven. Our engineers have a strong mechanical design background with an understanding of the issues at hand and how to use and apply this software to your application development.

In collaboration with leading suppliers to the connector industry, we developed advanced prototype molds to simulate FPC and memory card connectors in order to evaluate all variables and determine what is relevant for the combination of product materials and performance in a connector.

DSM has a deep understanding of how secondary operations affect materials and the resources to provide recommendations about their use.

DSM is able to help you improve your laser marking through a range of grades with enhanced laser markability. In the DSM Laser Center, we have a team of experts with years of understanding and experience in successfully providing end-to-end solutions in a wide range of laser marking applications.
