The extraordinary escalation in the cost of raw materials, energy,
transportation & logistics is unprecedented in the plastics industry. As a
result, DSM Engineering Plastics will increase prices in North America for the
following product families.

Akulon® polyamide 6 and 66 resins (injection molding grades): $0.20/lb.

Akulon® polyamide 6 and 66 resins (extruded film grades): $0.12/lb.

Nylatron® specialty polyamide 6 and 66 materials: $0.20/lb
This increase will take effect as of July 14, 2008 and is in addition to
increases announced earlier in the year.
