Over the last period the prices for petrochemical raw materials, shipping and
energy have been consistently increasing, including inflatory effects of the
US Dollar. DSM is no longer able to set off these cost increases by efficiency
improvements and needs to revert to price increases.
The following specific price increases will be effective in the Asia Pacific
region as of May 15, 2008 or as contracts permit, for all shipments:

DSM Engineering Plastics will continue its innovation efforts and introduce
new products into the market. Recently a series of new halogen free products
have been introduced, answering the high demand in the market for these type
of products. All 4 product lines mentioned above have halogen free products in
their portfolio. Furthermore several capacity expansions will be finished in
2008. DSM Engineering Plastics remains committed to be a sustainable partner
