Plastics has absorbed the impact of significant cost increases over an
extended period of time. However, the magnitude of on-going cost increases for
raw materials, energy, transportation and logistics make product price
increases unavoidable. In order for DSM to achieve a suitable return on
investments in technology and innovation it is necessary to off-set some of
these cost increases through price rises.
