Quality policy

DSM Engineering Plastics is committed to supply innovative and competitive products and services to the full satisfaction of our customers in a consistent way.
Our Total Quality policy aims at continuous improvement in order to achieve a Zero Defect situation as a long term vision. We will use tools like Six Sigma in order to create robust processes which will enable us to be first time right all the time.

Our directives are detailed in our Global Management System and are based on ISO/TS 16949:2009 and ISO 9001:2008 standards, including the core tools like Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA).

Whether your product is manufactured in Evansville Indiana or Jiangyin China, DSM has global quality standards to assure consistency of products. We remain dedicated to improving processes for our customers and to solving long-term issues with long-term solutions.

Complaint handling

It’s our aim to strive for zero defects and complaints. Systems are in place to ensure customer complaints are handled with high priority and containment actions are immediately taken to help the customer to continue with his operations. And that after a thorough Root Cause Analysis effective measures are taken to prevent recurrence of the problem using the TOPS 8D methodology.

Safety, health, and environment

It is DSM policy to maintain business activities and products that do not adversely affect safety or health and that fit with the concept of sustainable development. Our Global Management System is in place in all sites worldwide and based on international standard ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental) and the stringent DSM SHE requirements which are based on OSHAS 18001 (Health and Safety).

Product information and specifications

Specifications are an integral part of the Supply Agreement between DSM and the customer. DSM standardized test methods used for material characterization are based on international accepted standards like ISO and ASTM. Product Data Sheets, Material Safety Data Sheets, and Certificates of Analysis are made available to our customers for all materials.

Packaging and shipping

DSM is able to deliver engineering plastics in bags on pallet, octapacks, boxes, big bags and silo, shipping products anywhere in the world, quickly and reliably.
