DSM inaugurates new production facility for Stanyl® ForTii™
Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, has today inaugurated its new Stanyl® ForTii™ Production Unit. As announced in May 2009, the new facility has quadrupled production capacity for Stanyl ForTii in order to meet market demand for this new polymer, which is used in electronics and other applications. Stanyl ForTii was developed by DSM Engineering Plastics and is the first new polymer introduced in the last decade.

Taisol Electronics, the second largest Taiwanese memory card manufacturer with branch offices in China, Singapore, Japan, USA and worldwide distribution, has commercialized halogen-free V-0 Stanyl® ForTii™ for its 5-in-1 memory card socket, readily usable for Memory StickTM, SD CardTM, MMCTM, Smart MediaTM, and xD-Picture CardTM.

FCI, a globally leading supplier of interconnect products, has approved halogen-free V-0 Stanyl® ForTii™ for their FPC Connectors product line of Optical Disk Drives and is currently expanding the usage on various other connectors and sockets.
