Xantar® C. DSM’s new generation PC/ABS blends

Xantar C combines excellent impact with higher flow

•  20% better flow gives greater design freedom, easier filling of complex parts, longer flow paths possible
•  Good appearance of the finished parts
•  Lower processing temperatures, shorter cycle times and energy costs

Xantar C has optimum impact and flow
Xantar C has the flow of high flow PC/ABS blends with the impact strength of high impact PC/ABS blends

Xantar C is cleaner, purer and brighter

Higher purity polymers used compared to conventional PC/ABS blends
• 80% lower mould deposit, reduced mould cleaning frequency , improved machine up-time
• consistent and better quality  parts, improved surface appearance
• low volatiles level significantly reduces fogging tendency

Lower mold deposit from Xantar C gives better parts and longer runs before cleaning is necessary

More stable because it combines a high purity ABS with very high quality polycarbonate
• Better property retention after long-term ageing. Superior thermal ageing
• Broader processing window
• Improved hydrolytic stability - mechanical performance unchanged over prolonged periods
• Significantly improved environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) and UV stability

Xantar C is more stable than other PC/ABS blends

Maintains a bright white natural colour
• Improved and consistent colour and appearance, easy to colour during moulding
• Gloss and surface quality levels superior to other PC/ABS blends
• Part appearance more stable during ageing and less sensitive to processing conditions

Xantar C FR flame retardant polycarbonates

•  Uses new low volatile additive technology that is Chlorine and Bromine free – “Green technology”
•  Increases machine productivity due to reduced down time
 - Greatly reduced outgassing, juicing and pollution of processing equipment, less cleaning
•  Broader application range
 - Higher Vicat softening temperature by 10-15ºC compared to conventional PC/ABS
