AP caprolactam plus polymerization additives are used for anionic polymerization of caprolactam into (centrifugal) cast Nylon 6.
In this way cast stock shapes and profiles (rod, tube, plate etc.) are produced. Subsequently these are machined to final dimensions. Rotomolded parts can be produced on dedicated equipment.
DSM provides AP caprolactam as the raw material for polymerization.
