CaroPure®/CaroCare® 7.5% Vegetarian Beadlets are the world’s first non-gelatine vegetarian beta-carotene beadlets. Derived from the naturally-occurring micro-organism Blakeslea trispora, CaroPure®/CaroCare® is encapsulated with natural, non-animal excipients. The beadlets can also be labelled non-GM, kosher and preservative-free.
With a processing profile and performance equal to their gelatine-based counterparts, the beadlets offer excellent flow properties for easy handling and good particle size distribution. High strength during tabletting minimises beadlet damage and beta-carotene leakage. The beadlets also have excellent stability/shelf life and their particle size distribution ensures optimum dissolution with good bio-availability.
Applications
The beadlets are used in the production of single beta-carotene, multi-vitamin, antioxidant and (mixed) carotenoid tablets or two piece hard-shell capsules.
