Ingredients Development

The Ingredients Development Unit of DSM Food Specialties is a melting pot for the creation of exciting new ideas and products. As such, our primary role is to develop new products to strengthen the portfolio of DSM Food Specialties. We do this by exploiting the company's core competencies in enzymes and fermentation. Success in developing new ideas and products necessitates a strong interaction between all disciplines from research to production and marketing. However, it also requires the building and sustaining of a network of institutes and food ingredient companies.

Our current project portfolio focuses on:

  • Identification and development of new enzymes for taste/ flavour development and new textures.
  • New protein hydrolysates with a taste, texture or nutritional function.
  • New fermentation products.

At the Ingredients Development unit we are always on the look-out for new product ideas. We are eager to discuss new projects with potential partners to create a mutual competitive edge.
