DSM Food Specialties has announced that its revolutionary protein hydrolysate, PeptoPro®, has now been selected as the key ingredient in SIXGRAM, the breakthrough ready-to-drink sports beverage from DIS BV. Available throughout the Netherlands from August 2008, SIXGRAM contains 6g PeptoPro per 330ml can and can be purchased in blood orange, grapefruit and mandarin flavours.

PeptoPro was initially developed for the Dutch Olympic team to help speed up recovery times and improve athletic performance. Since its launch, the evidence supporting PeptoPro’s benefits has grown significantly. Recent trial results, for example, have indicated that consumption of 6g of protein during exercise has a positive impact on endurance and can limit muscle damage.
