Gb Select®

The Gb Select® product range consists of yeast extracts and yeast extract-based natural flavourings which give specific taste support to a broad range of savoury foods.
The range is certified by the Organised Kashruth Laboratories.

The following taste profiles are available


Meat / beef
Roasted meat note - designed to give a general roasted, brown flavour note, this product is a good starting ingredient when a 'pan dripping' type of flavour is desired.
Dark roast beef flavour - imparts an intense dark roast beef flavour.
Roasted beef note - strong beef character with background roasted notes.
Beef extract replacer - designed as a beef extract replacer, this yeast extract offers a very beefy flavour profile. Exceptionally economic in use.

Chicken
Baked/roasted chicken note - imparts a distinct baked/roasted chicken type note to a finished product.
'Roasted' chicken type flavour - typical 'roasted' chicken type flavour with excellent mouthfeel.
Chicken flavour - specifically designed to build poultry profiles or enhance a variety of savoury applications, it provides excellent chicken flavour but contains no animal fat.
Roasted turkey or dark poultry note - imparts a roasted turkey or dark poultry note to finished products.

Pork
Sweet roasted pork note - Imparts a sweet roasted pork note to finished food products in a reduced sodium formulation.
Smoked ham profile - A cured ham flavour with subtle smoky and spicy background notes.

Specialties
Distinct strong clam meat and juice profile - fresh clam meat and juice combinations ideally suited for applications where clam type flavour is desired.
Distinct white or codfish type flavour - excellent as a base for building a fish or seafood formulation.
Earthy mushroom flavour - a typical mushroom nuance with enhancement.
Vegetable profiles - mild vegetable profiles to provide background flavours where meat is not applicable. Flavour profiles consist of carrot, tomato, onion, garlic and spices.
Burnt flavour and appearance common to caramel colour - a yeast extract with the characteristic burnt flavour and appearance common to caramel colouring. Designed to replace caramel colour.
Aged cheddar cheese profiles - perfect for developing moderately aged cheddar cheese profiles. This savoury flavour enhancer is also well suited for systems requiring a meatier flavour.
Improver and enhancer of natural cheese taste - a flavouring composition that improves and enhances the naturally occurring taste of cheese.
