The six month period for pre-registration of substances manufactured and
imported in the EU under REACH, began on June 1st. DSM Melamine B.V. has
pre-registered melamine (number 05-2114104689-44-0000) and is on schedule
with its registrations.
Under REACH, all new and existing EINECS chemical substances are to be
registered at a newly established European chemicals agency,
ECHA.
To this end, DSM Melamine is continuing its co-operation with other
stakeholders in the sector and will contact these parties following
publication of the official guidance (RIP3.2), to discuss their specific
obligations.
DSM Melamine is committed to complying in a full and timely way, and thereby
secure a continued and uninterrupted supply of melamine to its customers.
