DSM Melamine announces plant shutdown

DSM Melamine has taken the decision to temporarily shut down the smaller of its two melamine production plants (CTP 30kt/annum) in Geleen, The Netherlands. The shutdown period will last for approximately six weeks up until the end of December 2008. This is to adjust inventories and output to lower market demand in the fourth quarter of 2008.
