DSM Melamine offers Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) to selected large, bulk customers, to optimize logistics. With VMI, we take responsibility for managing your melamine stocks so you can focus on running your business.

Using Business-to-Business connectivity, we can monitor melamine stock levels at your production sites and replenish MelaminebyDSM™ wherever and whenever required.

How does VMI work?

We link the automatic silo measurement equipment that is installed on your production site, to our stock replenishment system. For big bag customers we can microchip the bags to continually monitor your melamine usage and inventories.

VMI is a completely transparent system where historical data on melamine consumption and planning/delivery efficiency is fully available to you and to us.

You can focus on your business while we monitor and replenish your melamine stocks. You no longer need to spend time on monitoring your stock levels. The VMI system sends your consumption forecasts and stock level data to DSM electronically. And we replenish your stock to the agreed level.

Currently we are concluding a series of customer trials to fine tune our VMI service.
