Jet-Net ambassadors work on DSM’s future
DSM has already been active with the Jet-Net project for five years. The project is a collective effort of education, the business community and government aimed at promoting the choice of beta and technical professions. An important task with an eye to the future, since labor market shortages make it more difficult to find people with an advanced technical education. “We’re sowing now and will reap the rewards in five to ten years!”

Cooperation between DSM and Hondsrug College
On Thursday afternoon, June 7th, 2006, DSM and Hondsrug College in Emmen signed an agreement conceived within the framework of Jet-Net.

The signing was linked to a demonstration of a portion of a Polyamide solid-phase post condensation reactor, designed and built by the students of Hondsrug College who explained, in writing and in word, how it all worked. This isn’t just some project. The TU Delft has given a prize for technique to their design!

Local radio and television have broadcast a demonstration of a Polyamide solid-phase post condensation reactor given by the students of Hondsrug College. Click here to see the TV broadcast (Dutch).

Sg. Groenewald, a real Jet-Net school
The school community of Groenwald has closed a partnership agreement with DSM. They have already been working together in the past year under the guidance of chemistry and physics teacher, Elly Lootjens. Many students have had the opportunity to have a closer look at many parts of DSM and its activities such as the ammonia factory, the glassblower, the extruders, injection molding, the making of polyesters and a variety of analysis techniques. DSM coworkers have already given many guest lectures as well.
