DSM’s commitment to education
DSM is an innovative, knowledge intensive company. While aspiring to great
heights of achievement, it has both feet firmly planted on the ground. With
this in mind it is essential for DSM to ensure that there is a steady supply
of talent in the labor market. Hence, this dedicated commitment to education.
At the same time the field of education is developing in its own way. New
tendencies are becoming visible. Students are taking more ownership of the
accumulation of knowledge, even in elementary school. There is a greater
emphasis on interactive learning. Students are deciding their own curriculum
and study tempo. Education itself, of course, is not the final goal. The
linking of educational content to practical work-related situations is of the
