DSM Nutritional Products is globally launching HIDROX™: an ingredient
derived from olives for the dietary supplement, food and beverage market.
Earlier this year, DSM Nutritional Products signed a worldwide supply,
distribution and marketing agreement with CreaAgri Inc. for their proprietary
product: HIDROX™. With that license agreement DSM also acquired the exclusive
access to CreAgri’s patents, putting both parties into a unique competitive
position.
DSM has launched the product in the United States back in August 2006 and is
now proud to announce its launch in Asia, Latin America, Europe and Africa.
HIDROX™ is made from the juice of organically grown olives by a
patent-protected process. The olive juice possesses high concentration of
polyphenols with strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. HIDROX™
main polyphenol and main antioxidant is hydroxytyrosol, a scientifically well
documented molecule. Due to its unique properties and its manufacturing from
olives, HIDROX™ is well suited for any kind of food product and dietary
supplement related to the Mediterranean lifestyle.
