Innovative health and wellness concepts will be DSM’s major focus at HiE. Created to deliver appealing taste and present scientifically-backed health claims, these exciting developments respond to consumer needs and set future market trends. New product launches include Maxilact®¹ LGX, a neutral lactase for the creation of high quality, clean tasting lactose-free products and Gistex® HUM LS² , a natural yeast extract with high umami impact, for savoury applications. With its proven skin health benefits, the Beauty from Within range will appeal to manufacturers within the dynamic nutricosmetic industry and Fabuless™ DE³ , specifically developed for instant powder applications, will represent an innovation in weight management at the show.

Raising the bar in infant nutrition
Food safety is of the utmost importance, especially in the arena of infant nutrition. DSM has a focused approach to this market, especially in view of the new, stricter international regulations for microbiological purity of baby food. Although not directly applicable to food ingredients manufacturers, DSM employs these standards in the production of all its vitamins for use in the infant nutrition category.
