DSM and ADM announced that they have reached an agreement in a patent infringement dispute concerning DSM’s U.S. Patents 5,648,261 and 5,879,927 and ADM's Ecotone® Phaffia Astaxathin product. Under the terms of the parties' agreement, ADM has entered into a license agreement with DSM and will continue to provide the Ecotone® product to the market. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Wim Klop, DSM’s General Manager of Intellectual Property, noted that “ DSM values its significant intellectual property portfolio and it is pleased that a settlement was reached with ADM.”
