Salmonids: Anorexia, poor growth, nervous disorders, increased sensitivity to shock by physical blow to container or from light flashes; irritability; instability; darkening; ataxia; reduced erythrocyte and liver thiamin pyrophosphate levels, keratopathy (McLaren et al., 1947; Phillips and Brockway, 1957; Halver 1957; Kitamura et al., 1967a; Coats and Halver, 1958; Hughes, 1985; Morito et al., 1986; Masumoto et al., 1987).
Ayu (Plecoglossus altivelis): Anorexia, poor growth, ataxia, high mortality, hemorrhage of the fin bases, dullness, loss of sense of distance (Kanazawa, 1991).
Red sea bream (Pagrus major): Anorexia, poor growth (Yone, 1975).
Eel (Anguilla japonica): Anorexia, poor growth, ataxia, trunk winding syndrome, fin hemorrhage (Arai et al., 1972; Hashimoto et al., 1970).
Yellowtail (Seriola quinqueradiata): Dark coloration, congestion in fins and opercules (Shimeno, 1991).
Barramundi (Lates calcarifer): Anorexia, dark coloration, poor growth, post handling shock, mortality (Boonyaratpalin and Wanakowat, 1993).
Gilthead sea bream (Sparus auratus): Poor growth, anemia (Morris and Davies, 1995c; Morris et al., 1995).
Common carp (Cyprinus carpio): Fin hemorrhage, nervousness, fading of body color, anorexia, poor growth (Aoe et al., 1969).
Channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus): Anorexia, poor growth, dark coloration, mortality (Dupree, 1966; Murai and Andrews, 1978a).
Walking catfish (Clarias batrachus): Dark coloration (Butthep et al., 1985). Stinging catfish (Heteropneustes fossilis): Poor growth, dark coloration, and increased feed conversion (Gupta et al., 1996).
Tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus x O. urolepis hornorum): Anorexia, light coloration, nervous disorders, poor feed efficiency and growth, low hematocrit (Lim et al., 1991).
Japanese parrot fish (Oplegnthus faciatus): Anorexia, reduced growth (Ikeda et al., 1988).
Tiger puffer (Takifugu rubripes): Anorexia, high mortality, lethargy (Kato et al., 1994).
Shrimp (Penaeus monodon, P. japonicus): Reduced growth and survival, mild decrease in the midgut B-cells (Kanazawa, 1985; Catacutan and De La Cruz, 1989; Chen et al., 1991).
