Vitamin Safety

Tilapia fed diets containing 100 mg of pyridoxine per kg for eight weeks showed normocytic normochromic anemia (Shiau and Hsieh, 1997).

High (0.08%) concentrations of pyridoxine inhibited sugar and amino acid transport in inverted gut sections of the spotted snakehead (Channa punctata) and the stinging catfish (Heteropneustes fossilis) (Garg, 1980).
