DSM NeoResins+ - a leading developer and manufacturer of specialty resins for the Graphic Arts industry - introduces a new member to its extensive range of elastomeric solvent based urethanes under the name: NeoRez® U-430.

This novel product can be used to formulate gravure inks which pass sterilisation and pasteurisation treatments. NeoRez® U-430 is tin and chlorine free and offers excellent pigment wetting, coupled with high bond strengths in packaging film laminates. NeoRez® U-430 can thus be used to replace the current vinyl copolymers and PVB resins used in gravure inks while offering similar performances.

Another strong advantage lies in the Universal character of NeoRez U-430 in Gravure applications; Inks and varnishes based on NeoRez® U-430 give producers the possibility to offer the market a complete product portfolio which allows strong operational savings, significant reduction of the production down-time, better warehouse management, and strong optimization of the usage of the press returns by the converters.

The resin can be used in high end gravure applications (pasteurizations, sterilizations, aggressive filling goods, hot-filling) and low & medium-end applications (snacks, confectionery, fresh & dry food, ice-creams, pasta, reel-feed-cut & stacks-sleeves labels, coffee etc.).
