Compared to a conventional harvest approach, the number of unit operations is reduced. The product of interest is separated from the broth in one step. The product can be proteins, antibodies, vaccines or larger particles. In RHOBUST® the cell suspension passes through the column and the product is adsorbed on the beads via different tailored ligands, e.g. Protein A, mixed mode, DEAE, IMAC, etc. The direct capture leads to less handling and shorter process times.
