Unsaturated polyester resins (including vinyl esters and additives) are used
in the production of fiber reinforced plastics or non-reinforced filled
products. Due to the ease and freedom of processing, unsaturated polyester
resin can be applied in the manufacturing of small and very large structures.

Synolite.
Gelcoats provide the decorative and protective outer skin of reinforced
plastic laminates. DSM’s Neogel® is a well respected tradename of gelcoats;
particularly within the European marine industry, where it has long been
specified by leading boat builders.
Polymeric plasticizers can improve the quality of soft PVC in terms of oil and
fat resistance, extraction, migration UV and heat resistance and durability.
