DSM Composite Resins AG today announced the acquisition of Fontanals Composites, S.A. This acquisition is a first step in the strategy of DSM Composite Resins to create the undisputed European market leader in composites distribution.

Fontanals Composites S.A. has a tremendous experience as composites distributor and solution provider and reinforces the existing distribution position of DSM Composite Resins -Euroresins in Spain into a leading position.

Fontanals Composites S.A. will be integrated in DSM Composite Resins’ own distribution group Euroresins and the combination is renamed as Euroresins-Fontanals Composites. The combination of both companies in Spain will offer the clients an interesting product portfolio and an excellent level of technical and logistical service. “The objective of this integration is to offer all our clients Class A brands, new trends, new techniques and an optimal technical and logistical service”; says Jordi Geli, general manager of the newly formed company Euroresins-Fontanals Composites.

Fontanals Composites SA was funded in 1974 by Don Ramón Fontanals Baques who by that time had over 12 years of experience in the composite market. This family owned company started business in composite materials with a clear idea of combining products, information and developments.
