PALAPREG in truck applications
The use of our PALAPREG products is not only limited to passenger car
applications but they are also extensively used in the segment of heavy and
medium duty trucks.
Our products are used by all major European truck manufactures.
Applications in this segment includes; exterior body panels, engine parts such
as oil sumps, noise insulation parts and much more….
One of the most heavy user of PALAPREG based SMC compound is the TGA truck cab
from MAN which contains more than 160 kg.
An other important application area is that of engine parts. A good example
here are the oil sumps for the DaimlerChrysler Actros and Atego series. The
compounds being used are based on our vinylester resin ATLAC XP 810.
Atlac XP810 as a tough, high performance, thickenable vinyl ester resin,
designed to meet the most demanding under bonnet applications with its
excellent high temperature performance, chemical resistance and toughness.
More than 1 million sumps based on ATLAC XP 810 have been produced since the
start, in the mid 90s.
