Stereolithography Resin Applications

Less ash from burned out SL Somos® QuickCast patterns means a foundry doesn’t have to cool down the shell, flush out any ash and then reheat prior to pouring.  Somos® ProtoCast 19120 is the industry's first completely antimony free, low ash, Stereolithography resin, and the first developed specifically for investment casting applications.

MC2 (Metal Clad Composite) combines the high strength physical properties of Somos® NanoTool with nickel plating to deliver metal performance without machining.  MC2 parts can be less expensive than machining or die casting, and turnaround is a great deal faster allowing engineers to move into the test phase more quickly.

Real injection molded parts in less than three to five days. That’s the goal of design houses using Somos® NanoTool and the Stereolithography process to produce REAL plastic parts that engineers can then test during the product design stage.
